Garodia – Winchester International Symposium, March 18 – 23, 2019, Mumbai, India

The participating schools are: African Leadership Academy (South Africa), Colegio Claustro Moderno (Colombia), Garodia International Centre for Learning (India). Johannes Kepler Grammar School (Czech Republic), Karachi Grammar School (Pakistan), Montgomery Bell Academy (USA), Nada High School (Japan), Raffles Institution (Singapore), Winchester College (UK).

Students from the group of the Symposium schools will come together in Mumbai in March 2019, after having worked online for six months on the topic areas overleaf. Each school will draft a monthly 750-word response to a particular question set within each topic area; the response will follow a month of discussion of the issues arising from an introductory essay. The response will be posted online in the shared Google group, and submitted to TJP. Students will then have a further week in which they are expected to comment on others’ submitted responses. Zájemci (chlapci i děvčata) o  účast na Garodia -Winchester International Symposium 2019 se mohou do pátku 14. 9. 2018 přihlásit k výběrovému řízení.

Podmínky:

  • zájem o téma – viz přiložený dokument
  • schopnost diskuse, argumentace, formulace, písemného projevu (formy eseje)
  • velmi dobrá schopnost komunikace v angličtině
  • slušné studijní výsledky na GJK
  • odhodlanost průběžně pracovat na tématu v období říjen 2018 – březen 2019

Zájemci (chlapci i devčata) odevzdají Letter of Interest (cca 500 slov), s doporučením třídního učitele a souhlasem rodičů do pátku 14. 9. 2018, 12:00 hodin zástupkyni ředitele I. Landsingerové nebo prof. J. Škampové, kde lze případně získat další informace.
